Step 1: Go to Duo Help Desk
Step 2: Log in with your UCInetID and Password
Step 3: Verify with Multifactor authentication
Step 4: Click on Generate Emergency Backup Codes
Step 5: Click on Generate
Step 6: Securely store codes
