Game Strategy
Part of what makes a game fun is the challenge of figuring out the best strategy to win the game. We played Tic-Tac-Toe and Connect-4 in Meeting 3 this Spring. Do you remember the best strategies?
Try to beat our UCI Gamemaster (or the computer) in Tic-Tac Toe:
(A) 3 x 3 Tic-Tac-Toe (get 3 in a row to win),
(B) 5 x 5 Tic-Tac-Toe (get 4 in a row to win).
Playing Rule: (1) If playing with the gamemaster, alternate who goes first. (2) First play 3 x 3 Tic-Tac-Toe two times. (3) Then play 5 x 5 Tic-Tac-Toe as many times as time permits.
Use the online Tic-Tac-Toe website.
Points Assignment: Earn a point for each move you make. If you win, your team earns 10 extra points. If you tie, your team earns 5 extra points. If you lose, your team loses 5 points.
