Words into Numbers

Instead of coding each alphabet with another alphabet, we can instead assign a number to each alphabet. This is actually how a computer stores its information at the most basic level.

For electronic communication, there is a standard coding called ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange) that assigns a 3-digit number and a 7-bit binary code for each letter.
